Okay, forgive me for I am fried this week, but not 100% sure what you mean? I generally think Ice Dance judging/scores are based on wishful thinking and backroom deals-- American included-- if that's what you're getting at?
I get a bit salty that Canada gets accused of "home cooking". It's a skating urban myth that has no truth to it. Judging in Canada, by international judges, is no worse than at any of the other of the Grand Prix's. Every country wants their own to win. But I do absolutely agree with you that Ice Dance judging/scores are based on wishful thinking and backroom deals, and probably a good deal evil magic. 😁

I love how Piper and Paul's scores will be pushed by Canada, but the American teams have International judges. Just sayin' 😁
